About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled GCP Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires a deep understanding of data engineering principles, extensive experience with GCP services such as Dataflow, Dataproc, Composer, and BigQuery, and proficiency in database management and scripting.

As a key member of our data team, you will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the efficient flow and processing of data across various platforms. Your expertise will help optimize data solutions, improve system performance, and support our clients' strategic decision-making processes. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about leveraging cloud technologies to solve complex data challenges.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in GCP Data Engineering, including hands-on work with Airflow, Spark, Composer, Dataproc, and Dataflow.
- Robust expertise in relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL,



including schema design, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- Practical experience working with GCP-native databases like Cloud SQL, Spanner, and BigQuery.
- Deep understanding of OLTP and OLAP architectures and their application in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Shell scripting, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
- Knowledge of GCP networking components and Identity and Access Management (IAM), including roles, permissions, service accounts, and Private Service Connect.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on supporting enterprise-scale database solutions on GCP.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and architectures on GCP to support business analytics and decision-making.

Key responsibilities include

- Developing scalable and reliable data workflows using GCP services such as Dataflow, Dataproc, and Composer.
- Managing and optimizing relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implementing data models and schemas that align with business requirements and best practices.
- Automating deployment and management processes using scripting languages and Infrastructure as Code tools.




- Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to enhance data processing efficiency.
- Ensuring data security and compliance by configuring IAM roles, permissions, and network policies.
- Supporting enterprise-scale database solutions by providing technical expertise and resolving complex problems promptly.
- Staying updated with the latest GCP features and industry trends to continuously improve data engineering practices.
