Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer - GCP to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Python, and SQL, with a solid understanding of data engineering concepts and data pipeline development. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing scalable data solutions and pipelines while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines.
- Develop data engineering solutions using GCP services.
- Write efficient and optimized Python code for data processing and automation.
- Develop complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Perform data transformation, cleansing, and validation to ensure data quality.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and resolve performance or data-related issues.
- Optimize existing data workflows for scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts,



application teams, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Follow best practices for data security, governance, documentation, and development.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

- GCP - Mandatory
- Python
- SQL
- Solid understanding of data engineering concepts
- Experience in developing and managing data pipelines

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with GCP data services and cloud-based data platforms.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience working with large datasets and distributed data-processing environments.
- Understanding of data quality, performance optimization, and data governance practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Candidate Profile :

- 6 - 9 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP.
- Good programming experience in Python.
- Strong SQL and database knowledge.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to work from the Chennai office 4 days a week.
- Candidates with a notice period of 30 days or less are preferred.
