About this Role

We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer with strong experience in SQL, Python, dbt, Airflow, PostgreSQL, and Azure to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate should have experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines, working with ELT/ETL workflows, and transforming and modelling data using dbt.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Develop and maintain workflows using Apache Airflow.
- Build data transformation and modelling pipelines using dbt.
- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for PostgreSQL.
- Develop Python scripts and data-processing utilities.
- Work with Azure cloud services for data engineering workloads.
- Implement data quality checks, validation, monitoring, and error handling.
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures and production data issues.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Follow best practices around version control, testing, documentation, and deployment.
- Optimize existing pipelines for performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Skills

- 3–5 years of qualified experience in Data Engineering / Analytics Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Production experience with dbt.
- Production experience with Apache Airflow.




- Strong Python programming skills.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
- Working experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Good understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipelines.
- Experience with data modelling and warehouse concepts.
- Experience with Git and standard software development practices.

Good to Have

- Experience with Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Synapse, or Azure Databricks.
- Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines.
- Experience implementing dbt tests and data quality frameworks.
- Experience with Docker.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.

What We Are Looking For: We are looking for someone who is not only familiar with these technologies but has actually built and supported production pipelines using them. Strong SQL + Python fundamentals and hands-on dbt/Airflow experience will be particularly important for this role.
