We are looking for an experienced D365 F&O; Supply Chain Management (SCM) Senior Functional Lead Consultant to work on implementation, enhancement, upgrade and support projects. The candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements, configuring D365 F&O;, preparing functional documentation, supporting testing, and working closely with business and technical teams.
The Senior Consultant will additionally be expected to independently handle functional workstreams, lead workshops, analyse complex requirements, and guide his team of D365 Functional and Technical consultants.
Key Responsibilities
1. Requirement Gathering & Business Analysis
- Understand business processes and gather functional requirements from stakeholders.
- Participate in requirement-gathering workshops and process discussions.
- Analyse existing business processes and identify gaps with standard D365 F&O; functionality.
- Prepare process flows, requirement documents, and functional solution proposals.
- Provide recommendations based on D365 F&O; standard functionality and best practices.

3. Functional Design & Documentation
- Prepare Functional Design Documents (FDD).
- Prepare functional specifications for customizations and integrations.
- Define business rules, validations, calculations, and expected system behaviour.
- Prepare configuration documents and process documentation.
- Maintain functional documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Testing
- Prepare functional test cases and test scenarios.
- Execute unit testing and functional testing.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT).
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Analyze and document defects.
- Coordinate with developers for defect resolution.
- Perform regression testing after fixes and enhancements.
5. Data Migration & Integration
- Support data migration activities using D365 F&O; Data Management Framework (DMF).
- Work with data entities for master and transactional data migration.
- Validate migrated data and resolve functional data issues.
- Support integrations between D365 F&O; and external applications.
- Prepare functional mapping documents and integration requirements.
- Coordinate with technical teams for integration development and testing.
6. Implementation & Support
- Participate in D365 F&O; implementation projects.
- Support configuration, testing, data migration, cutover, and go-live activities.
- Analyse production issues and provide functional solutions.
- Support users during UAT and post-go-live / hypercare.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement using standard D365 F&O; capabilities.
Preferred candidate profile
- Microsoft Certification - D365 F&O; Functional Consultant - Supply Chain Management (SCM) modules is mandatory
- Specialized Certifications in Supply Chain Management preferable
