Job Overview

We are looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Cybersecurity Mentor to train and guide students in both Offensive Security and Defensive Security. The mentor will be responsible for delivering theoretical concepts, conducting practical cybersecurity labs, guiding students through hands-on projects, and preparing them for industry-recognized certifications.

The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, network security, SOC operations, incident response, and cybersecurity fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver cybersecurity training through both theory and hands-on practical sessions.
- Teach Offensive Security concepts including:
- Reconnaissance and OSINT
- Network scanning and enumeration
- Vulnerability assessment
- Web application security
- Password attacks and authentication security
- Exploitation fundamentals
- Post-exploitation concepts
- Basic penetration testing methodology
- Teach Defensive Security concepts including:
- Network security
- Security monitoring
- SOC fundamentals
- Log analysis
- SIEM concepts
- Incident detection and response
- IDS/IPS
- Firewalls
- Endpoint security
- Vulnerability management
- Train students on cybersecurity tools such as:
- Nmap
- Wireshark
- Burp Suite
- Metasploit
- Hydra
- John the Ripper
- Netcat
- tcpdump
- SIEM/security monitoring tools
- Conduct practical labs using platforms such as TryHackMe, Hack The Box, and virtual lab environments.
- Design and conduct cybersecurity projects, assessments, assignments,



and CTF-style activities.
- Guide students in developing cybersecurity portfolios and practical skills.
- Prepare students for relevant cybersecurity certifications.
- Evaluate student performance and provide technical feedback.
- Stay updated with current cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, tools, and industry practices.
- Maintain lab environments and troubleshoot technical issues during practical sessions.

Educational Qualification

- or a related field.

Relevant professional certifications and practical cybersecurity experience will be considered an advantage.

- Have practical experience with both offensive and defensive security.
- Be able to conduct hands-on cybersecurity labs.

- Be able to guide students toward industry certifications and career opportunities.
