Role Description The Cyber Security Specialist is a full-time hybrid role based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role involves monitoring and securing applications, networks, and information systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing controls to prevent cyber threats. The specialist will conduct regular security assessments, manage incident detection and response, and work with internal teams to ensure secure software development and infrastructure configurations.

Responsibilities also include maintaining security documentation, supporting compliance with relevant standards,



and providing guidance and training to team members on cybersecurity best practices. The role requires close collaboration with product, engineering, and operations teams to safeguard learner data and platform integrity.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Cybersecurity and Cyber risk management, including threat identification, mitigation, and incident response.
- Candidates should possess skills in Application Security, including secure coding practices, vulnerability assessment, and remediation for web and mobile applications.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Security, including firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention, VPNs, and secure network architecture.
- Candidates should possess skills in Information Security, including access control, data protection, policy implementation, and security awareness.
- Relevant experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners) and familiarity with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or OWASP.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to communicate complex security concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Industry certifications such as CEH, Security+, CISSP, or equivalent are an advantage.
