Cyber Security Engineer –

Job Responsibilities

- Monitor and analyze security alerts, incidents, and potential threats.
- Identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate security measures.
- Perform security assessments, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis.
- Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and threats.
- Monitor network traffic, systems, and applications for suspicious activity.
- Work with SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security tools.
- Support incident response, threat detection, and security investigations.
- Conduct security audits and maintain security documentation.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to improve overall security posture.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices.

Required Skills
- Solid understanding of network security, information security, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, firewalls, and network protocols.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.




- Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Understanding of common vulnerabilities such as OWASP Top 10.
- Basic knowledge of incident response and threat analysis.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Qualys, Nessus, or Wireshark.
- Knowledge of cloud security across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with penetration testing and ethical hacking concepts.
- Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CEH, CySA+, or CISSP are an advantage.

Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/B.Sc. in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Relevant cybersecurity experience preferred.
