Purpose of the Role -

The Customer Service Sales person will be responsible for driving profitable growth of the customer service portfolio, including spare parts, Buhler Services Agreements, repairs, upgrades, retrofits, technical services, and digital solutions in grain & food segment. The role develops long-term customer relationships, identifies service opportunities, and ensures that customers receive responsive, value-added support throughout the equipment and plant lifecycle.

Essential Functions -

Sales and Business Development -

- Develop and execute the AM customer service sales strategy.
- Achieve Budget Order Release, Margins and customer-retention targets.
- Identify opportunities for spare parts, repairs, maintenance, service agreements, upgrades, retrofits, training, and digital services.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and needs analysis through quotation, negotiation, closing, and follow-up.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline using the companys CRM system.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements.

Customer Relationship Management -
- Act as a trusted service partner and primary commercial contact for assigned customers.
- Conduct regular customer visits, installed-base reviews, and service assessments.




- Understand customers’ operational challenges and recommend solutions that improvereliability, productivity, quality, safety, and total cost of ownership.
- Develop key-account plans and strengthen relationships with customer decision-makers and Influencers.

Commercial and Operational Coordination -
- Collaborate with field service, technical support, engineering, supply chain, operations,
- finance, and product management.
- Ensure quotations are technically accurate, commercially competitive, and aligned with
- company policies.
- Review pricing, margins, contractual terms, delivery commitments, and commercial risks.
- Coordinate the handover of confirmed orders to the responsible execution teams.
- Follow up on delivery performance, open quotations, overdue payments, and customer
- commitments.
- Support the development and launch of new service products and commercial offerings.
