Summary

As a DevOps Engineer, a typical day involves designing, automating, deploying, and supporting scalable cloud-native platforms using Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitHub. The role focuses on infrastructure automation, CI/CD implementation, container orchestration, platform reliability, and production support. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build secure, resilient, and highly available platforms while leveraging DevOps best practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and modern cloud technologies to deliver business value and operational excellence.

Roles & Responsibilities

Expected to perform independently and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in DevOps, Kubernetes, AWS, and Platform Engineering.

Develop, maintain, and optimize Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform to provision and manage AWS resources.

Design and implement Ansible playbooks and roles for automated configuration management and system provisioning.

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins integrated with GitHub repositories and automated deployment workflows.

Configure and maintain Kubernetes and Amazon EKS environments, ensuring platform stability, scalability, and security.

Deploy applications using Helm charts, Customize, and Git Ops methodologies while ensuring reliable release management processes.

Manage Docker containerization workflows, image optimization, registry management, and deployment best practices.

Implement deployment strategies such as Rolling, Blue-Green, and Canary deployments with validated rollback procedures.

Configure monitoring, logging, alerting,



and observability solutions across cloud and container platforms.

Support infrastructure scaling and performance optimization based on application and business requirements.

Investigate and resolve production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.

Ensure platform security through IAM governance, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance controls.

Participate in change management, release governance, disaster recovery planning, and platform upgrade activities.

Collaborate with development, architecture, security, and operations teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions.

Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, knowledge repositories, and automation standards.

Contribute to technical discussions and provide recommendations for platform modernization and automation improvements.

Professional & Technical Skills

Must Have Skills

Proficiency in Kubernetes and Amazon EKS administration and deployment management.

Strong experience in DevOps and Platform Engineering practices.

Hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code, including module development, state management, and infrastructure provisioning.

Strong expertise in Ansible, including playbooks, roles, energetic inventory, and configuration management.

Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

Experience working with GitHub, Git workflows, branching strategies, pull requests, and repository management.

Hands-on experience with Docker containerization and image lifecycle management.

Strong AWS cloud experience, including VPC, IAM, EC2, Auto Scaling, EKS, ECR, S3, CloudWatch, and managed data services.

Experience with Helm, Customize,



and Kubernetes deployment automation.

Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills using Bash and Python.

Experience troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters, workloads, networking, and application deployments.

Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions in cloud-native environments.

Experience supporting production systems and handling critical platform incidents.

Good to Have Skills

Experience with Git Ops platforms such as Argo CD and Flux.

Knowledge of GitHub Actions and GitLab CI/CD.

Experience with Kubernetes ecosystem tools including Karp enter, Cluster Auto scaler, Cert-Manager, AWS Load Balancer Controller, and Network Policies.

Exposure to observability technologies including Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Elastic Stack, Open Telemetry, and Splunk.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code security tools such as Trivia, Check, and TFsec.

Knowledge of AWS Systems Manager and Service Mesh technologies such as Istio and Linked.

Experience supporting OTT, Streaming Media, or High-Traffic Digital Platforms.

Exposure to AWS Media Services including Media Live, Media Package, Media Convert, Media Tailor, and CloudFront.

Experience with multi-region cloud architectures, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.

Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices.

Experience using ServiceNow and IT Service Management processes.

Additional Information The candidate should have 5+ years of relevant experience in Kubernetes, AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure Automation.

Strong expertise in Amazon EKS, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub, and container technologies is required.

Experience working in Agile, DevOps, and Cloud Transformation programs is preferred.

Strong Analytical, Troubleshooting, Automation, And Problem-solving Skills Are Essential.

Experience in enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure and platform engineering environments is highly desirable.

AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, or DevOps certifications will be an added advantage.

A minimum of 15 years of full-time education is required.
