Adarsh Brain Care 360 is looking for a Psychologist to join our clinical team and work directly with patients presenting with a range of psychological, emotional, behavioral, and mental-health concerns.

The role involves initial psychological screening, administration and scoring of standardized psychological assessment tools, patient interaction, psychoeducation, basic counselling, and teaching practical psychological interventions such as relaxation and stress-management techniques.

The psychologist will work as part of a multidisciplinary clinical setup and will coordinate with the treating psychiatrist/doctor regarding assessment findings, patient concerns, and appropriate follow-up.

This position would suit a psychologist who enjoys direct patient interaction, structured clinical assessment, and applying psychological concepts in a practical healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Screening & Initial Assessment

- Conduct structured initial screening of patients presenting with psychological and psychiatric concerns.
- Obtain relevant psychological, behavioral, social, and functional information from patients and, where appropriate, caregivers.
- Identify presenting concerns, symptom patterns, psychosocial stressors, and areas requiring further clinical evaluation.
- Assist the treating psychiatrist/doctor by providing relevant psychological assessment findings.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and patient confidentiality.

1. Psychological Assessment

- Administer appropriate standardized psychological assessment tools, scales, and questionnaires.
- Select and use assessment instruments appropriately based on the patient's presenting concerns and clinical requirements.
- Score and interpret commonly used screening and assessment tools within the scope of training and competence.
- Maintain accurate assessment records and document findings systematically.
- Explain assessment procedures to patients in a simple and understandable manner.

1. Basic Counselling & Psychological Interventions

Provide brief, structured psychological support to patients as appropriate, including:
- Basic supportive counselling.
- Psychoeducation regarding mental health conditions and psychological symptoms.
- Stress-management techniques.




- Relaxation exercises and breathing techniques.
- Sleep-hygiene guidance and basic behavioural strategies.
- Emotional regulation and coping strategies.
- Behavioural activation and routine-building where appropriate.
- Guidance regarding healthy lifestyle and psychological self-care.
- Reinforcement of treatment adherence and follow-up recommendations given by the treating clinician.

The role is primarily focused on screening, assessment, psychoeducation, and basic psychological interventions. Candidates should work within their professional training and scope of competence and refer complex or higher-risk cases appropriately.

1. Patient Education & Communication

- Communicate psychological concepts and assessment findings in a clear, empathetic, and patient-friendly manner.
- Help patients and families understand the relationship between psychological symptoms, behaviour, stress, and overall mental health.
- Address common misconceptions and stigma related to mental-health treatment.
- Encourage appropriate follow-up and continuity of care.

1. Documentation & Clinical Coordination

- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Record screening findings, assessment scores, counselling sessions, and relevant clinical observations.
- Coordinate with the psychiatrist/doctor and other members of the clinical team.
- Discuss clinically relevant observations with the treating clinician when required.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with professional and ethical standards.

Educational Qualification Candidates with qualifications such as the following may apply:
- M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology / Clinical Psychology
- B.A./ B.Sc. in Psychology may be considered depending on training and clinical experience.

Candidates with relevant clinical exposure, internships, hospital experience, or experience working with psychiatric/mental-health patients will be preferred.

Experience

- Freshers with relevant clinical training/internship experience are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with prior experience in psychiatric hospitals, mental-health clinics, counselling centres, hospitals, or psychological assessment settings will be preferred.
- Practical experience with standardized psychological scales and questionnaires will be an advantage.

Working Conditions
- Full-time, in-person position
- Working hours: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Expected working days: 6 days per week
- Direct patient-facing clinical role
- Work within a multidisciplinary mental-health care environment

Compensation Remuneration is negotiable and will be determined based on:

- Educational qualification
- Clinical training
- Relevant experience
