Qualification:
- 3-6 years of working experience in Control-M
- administration, job setup, monitoring, reruns, dependency handling, calendars, and alerts.
- Experience supporting Linux-based applications and middleware components, including WebLogic, Apache, and related services.
- Good working knowledge of Linux OS, service management, log analysis, file handling, and basic shell troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of day-to-day production support activities such as incident handling, escalation, coordination, and shift handover.
- Experience with AWS cloud platform, including core services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Lambda, and RDS.
- Working experience in AWS networking concepts including VPC design, subnets, route tables, security groups, and NACLs.
- Knowledge of network and cloud components such as F5-XC, Palo Alto, AWS ALB/NLB, Azure Gateway, DNS, and related services.
- Work experience on monitoring tools like DataDog and BigPanda.
- Troubleshoot middleware issues such as service alerts, CPU or disk space concerns, log analysis, and log archiving.
- Working knowledge of orchestration tools like GitHub Actions and Oracle Linux Automation Manager (OLAM).
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes.
- Should be available for weekend or extended-hours support when required for planned changes or incidents, with prior agreement.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a global support workplace.
Responsibility
- Provide daily support for Control-M scheduling, monitoring, job recovery, and issue resolution across production and non-production environments.
- Monitor Control-M dashboards and queues, identify failed or delayed jobs, and take timely corrective action or escalate where needed.
- Perform day-to-day Control-M front-end activities such as job creation support, job updates, calendar maintenance, dependencies, alerts, and rerun coordination.
- Participate in 24x7 support for Oracle Linux hosted systems and work in APAC and US shift rotations as required.
- Onboard and administer business applications in cloud and non-cloud infrastructure, coordinating with technology teams for platform readiness and support.
- Interact with application, infrastructure, cloud, and network teams to investigate and resolve operational issues quickly.
- Support middleware services and related components, including basic troubleshooting, log review, service restart coordination, and incident tracking.
- Participate in internal team meetings, technical discussions, change planning, and documentation updates.
- Lead or contribute to problem management calls and RCA sessions, ensuring root cause is identified and corrective actions are tracked.
- Propose and implement automation to reduce manual effort, improve reliability, and simplify repetitive Control-M or Linux support tasks.
- Maintain clear shift handover notes, operational updates, and incident communication throughout the support cycle.
- Flexible with working hours, including weekends and Indian night shifts, due to the global nature of the role.
Good to Have
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Shell for support automation and operational tasks.
- Knowledge of AWS automation and infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
- Some experience with other cloud computing platforms such as Azure or OCI.
- Basic troubleshooting experience on Windows middleware components.
- Exposure to Control-M modernization, self-service operations, or front-end support process improvements.
