About the Role

We are looking for a QA Consultant with 4 + years of hands-on experience who is equally strong in manual testing and automation. You should be able to pick up a complex product quickly, understand how the application and its backend services work together, and do it with limited hand-holding.

The role covers functional testing of web applications, mobile apps (Android and iOS) and APIs. You will review requirements, design test cases (including edge cases), execute them, and build and maintain automation for the same flows.

Manual and automation are both core parts of this role. Depending on project needs, you may be assigned to either, so both skill sets should be at a similar level.

We need strong triage skills. That means going beyond logging a defect and helping the team see where the problem is likely coming from (UI, API, backend service or data).

You will work on a large-scale consumer application with web, Android, iOS and multiple backend services. We follow Agile and requirements change often, so testing has to be practical and risk-based.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out end-to-end functional testing for web, mobile (Android/iOS) and API flows
- Review requirements and design clear test cases covering happy paths, edge cases and negative scenarios
- Write test cases in BDD style (Given / When / Then)
- Prioritise scenarios by risk and release impact (smoke / sanity / regression)
- Execute manual test cases, track results and support release regression
- Build, update and maintain automation for web, mobile and API flows
- Triage defects properly: reproduce issues, check logs and API responses, and give developers useful inputs on possible root cause
- Validate data using SQL across multiple databases and backend services
- Understand how services communicate with each other




- Own assigned modules end to end with limited supervision, and keep QA, developers and product updated on status
- Adapt quickly to changing requirements and keep manual and automated coverage relevant

Required Skills: Manual Testing

- Hands-on experience testing web, mobile (Android and iOS) and APIs
- Strong analytical ability to turn requirements into detailed test cases
- Ability to understand the application and service flow with minimal guidance
- Defect triage and debugging mindset, not just raising bugs
- Working knowledge of SQL for data checks and backend validation
- Familiarity with writing BDD-style test cases
- Hands-on experience with Postman (or similar) for API testing
- Comfortable using browser DevTools and reading basic mobile device logs (e.g. Logcat)
- Comfortable working in Agile teams with changing priorities
- Explicit written and verbal communication with QA, developers and product teams

- Framework exposure: TestNG and BDD-driven tests
- JavaScript for Maestro scripts and mobile automation flows
- Ability to automate stable flows and maintain existing scripts
- Comfortable working with the same BDD-style cases used for manual testing

Good to Have

- Exposure to Jira or similar test management tools
- Basic understanding of CI/CD
- Comfortable reading API docs / Swagger
- Basic understanding of Android / iOS release cycles

Pay: From ₹50,000.00 per month
