Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Pediatrician with a minimum of 4 years of clinical experience to join our multispecialty hospital as a full-time employee.

The Pediatrician will be responsible for providing comprehensive pediatric care through OPD consultations, inpatient management, emergency care, and coordination with other specialties. The role requires sound clinical judgment, valuable communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Key ResponsibilitiesOutpatient Department (OPD)

- Conduct comprehensive pediatric consultations for infants, children, and adolescents.
- Diagnose and manage common and complex pediatric medical conditions.
- Perform routine child health assessments, growth and developmental monitoring, and preventive healthcare.
- Provide vaccination counselling and ensure appropriate immunization schedules.
- Counsel parents regarding nutrition, breastfeeding, hygiene, developmental milestones, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate and complete OPD medical records.

Inpatient Department (IPD)
- Evaluate and manage pediatric patients admitted to the hospital.
- Conduct daily rounds and monitor clinical progress.
- Formulate appropriate treatment plans and modify them based on clinical response and investigations.
- Coordinate with nursing staff and other consultants involved in patient care.
- Maintain proper documentation of admission notes, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Counsel parents/attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and discharge instructions.




- Ensure appropriate follow-up after discharge.

Emergency & Acute Care
- Evaluate and manage pediatric emergencies and acute illnesses.
- Stabilize critically ill pediatric patients and initiate appropriate emergency management.
- Identify cases requiring escalation, ICU/NICU/PICU care, or referral to a higher center.
- Participate in emergency calls and provide timely clinical support as required.

Coordination & Hospital Responsibilities
- Coordinate with specialists from other departments for multidisciplinary patient management.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection-control practices, and patient-safety standards.
- Ensure rational use of investigations, antibiotics, and other medications.
- Participate in clinical meetings, audits, training programs, and quality-improvement initiatives.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards in all patient interactions.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and applicable medical regulations.

Qualification
- MBBS MD/DNB/DCH in Pediatrics from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council.
- Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience in Pediatrics.
- Experience in both OPD and inpatient pediatric care is essential.
