Job Summary: Candidate must have relevant experience of 3 to 6 Years. This role is for a Junior Oracle Database Administrator supporting UK and NA regions, focusing on Oracle databases hosted on-premises and on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The Consultant - Oracle will perform day-to-day Oracle DBA activities, basic troubleshooting, and cloud-related administration under the guidance of senior DBAs, ensuring database availability, performance, security, and adherence to operational standards.

Key Responsibilities Oracle Database Administration The preferred location for this role is Ahmedabad or Pune and should come to office .

We need to hire a Junior DBA with 3-4 years of experience to support US and UK team.

Perform day-to-day administration of Oracle databases.

Monitor database availability, performance, storage, sessions, and resource utilization.

Perform user creation, modification, and access management.

Manage tablespaces, datafiles, schemas, database objects, and storage.

Monitor database alerts, jobs, locks, sessions, and long-running queries.

Perform basic SQL and database troubleshooting.

Support database startup, shutdown, and routine maintenance activities.

Assist with database patching and upgrade activities under senior DBA guidance.

Monitor Oracle RMAN backup jobs and resolve basic backup failures.

Perform basic restore and recovery activities under supervision.

Monitor backup status and retention.

Support database recovery and DR activities.

Basic administration and monitoring of Oracle databases hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Monitor OCI compute resources, storage, networking, and database services.

Work with OCI Console for database and infrastructure monitoring.

Support Oracle Cloud database provisioning and configuration activities.

Assist with OCI DB System / Exadata Cloud Infrastructure administration.





Monitor CPU, memory, storage, and database resource utilization.

Assist with OCI backup, restore, and DR activities.

Basic understanding of OCI networking concepts such as VCN, subnets, security lists, NSGs, and connectivity.

Support OCI-related incidents and service requests under senior DBA guidance.

Basic knowledge of Oracle Data Guard is preferred.

Basic knowledge of Oracle RAC is preferred.

Basic understanding of OCI services and architecture.

Knowledge of OCI Console and OCI database services.

Basic understanding of cloud networking and security concepts.

Qualifications and Skills

- 3–4 years of hands-on experience as a Junior Oracle DBA or similar role, within the overall band of 3 to 6 years.
- Solid foundation in Oracle Database Administration, including user management, tablespace and schema management, and performance monitoring.
- Experience with Oracle RMAN backup, basic restore and recovery, and monitoring backup status and retention.
- Basic understanding of Oracle Data Guard is preferred.
- Basic understanding of Oracle RAC is preferred.
- Basic understanding of OCI services and architecture.
- Knowledge of OCI Console and OCI database services.
- Basic understanding of cloud networking and security concepts.
- Familiarity with OCI Compute, OCI Block Volume, and OCI Object Storage.
- Basic understanding of OCI VCN and Subnets, OCI Load Balancer, OCI IAM and policies.
- Knowledge of OCI Monitoring and Logging.
- Exposure to Oracle Base Database Service / DB Systems.
- Basic understanding of Exadata Cloud Infrastructure.
- Knowledge of OCI Backup and Recovery.
- Skills in Oracle-Technical and Oracle DBA - Oracle Cloud, including patching, maintenance, cloning, and documentation.
- Good communication skills to work with distributed teams across UK and NA regions.
