Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive anesthesia care for surgical, obstetric, and critical care patients—pre-op assessment, intra-op management, and post-op recovery.
- Lead anesthesia teams during complex procedures including cardiac, neuro, transplant, and high-risk obstetrics—ensuring airway control, hemodynamic stability, and pain management.
- Coordinate with surgeons, intensivists, and nurses to optimize perioperative pathways, reduce complications, and improve OR efficiency.
- Implement and monitor anesthesia protocols aligned with national guidelines (NABH, NBE)
and institutional safety standards.
- Supervise junior anesthesiologists and residents—providing clinical mentorship, feedback, and training on advanced techniques.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, M&M; reviews, and audit activities to enhance patient outcomes and compliance.
