Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Construction Site Engineer role based in Chennai for an immediate joiner.

The Construction Site

Engineer will oversee day-to-day site activities, including planning, coordinating, and monitoring construction work in alignment with design specifications and project timelines.

Responsibilities include supervising site teams and contractors, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control procedures, and verifying that structural and civil engineering requirements are met. The role involves regular site inspections, resolving technical issues, maintaining accurate documentation,



and reporting progress to project managers and senior leadership. The engineer will collaborate with design, procurement, and client-facing teams to support efficient project delivery and timely completion.

Qualifications

- Ability to work effectively in in office environments, including active construction sites and interior fit-out projects.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Experience in quality control, including inspection of materials, workmanship, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of structural engineering principles and their application in building, interior, and renovation projects.
- Background as a Civil Engineer or in civil engineering disciplines, with understanding of drawings, BOQs, and site execution.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in project documentation, reporting, and basic construction-related software (e.g., MS Office, AutoCAD or similar tools).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under time constraints, and adapt to dynamic site conditions.
- Prior experience in interior construction, fit-out, or building solutions in urban environments is an advantage.
