Position: Commercial Head Data Centre Division

Role Purpose

Lead the commercial function for the Data Centre Division, ensuring effective budgeting, cost control, contract management, commercial risk management, cash flow, claims, and profitability across projects. Partner with Business, Projects, Procurement, Finance, Planning, and Contracts teams to achieve commercial and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead commercial planning, budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting for Data Centre projects.
- Monitor project budget, actual cost, commitments, Cost-to-Complete (CTC), EAC, margins, and cash flow.
- Manage contracts, subcontractors, commercial terms, variations, change orders, and final accounts.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage commercial risks, claims, EOT, and potential cost exposures.
- Ensure timely client billing, certification, collections, and effective working-capital management.
- Review procurement and subcontract commercial strategies and support major commercial negotiations.
- Work closely with Planning/Project Controls to assess the commercial impact of delays, changes, and schedule deviations.
- Establish and monitor commercial MIS, dashboards, KPIs, and project performance reports for senior management.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, margin improvement, and prevention of commercial leakage.




- Lead and develop the commercial/contracts team and ensure effective commercial governance across the Data Centre portfolio.
- Manage commercial discussions and negotiations with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are commercially aligned with approved budget, contract, schedule, cash flow, and profitability targets.

Qualification & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- 15–20+ years of relevant experience in Commercial, Contracts, Cost Control, or Project Controls, preferably in Data Centres, EPC, Infrastructure, MEP, or large-scale construction.
- Robust experience in commercial management, contracts, claims, cost control, budgeting, cash flow, and negotiations.
- Data Centre project experience with exposure to CSA, MEP, Electrical, HVAC, ELV, BMS, ICT, and commissioning will be an advantage.
