We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Azure Administrator to manage, design, and support enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure, Microsoft 365 environments, and hybrid identity ecosystems. The role requires deep expertise in Azure AD, cloud infrastructure, security, and enterprise collaboration platforms, along with hands-on experience in managing hybrid environments and large-scale migrations.

Key Responsibilities

;

Azure Infrastructure Cloud Operations

- Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, and security components
- Administer and support Azure environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance
- Manage hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure
- Perform capacity planning, monitoring, and performance tuning of cloud resources
- Handle L2/L3 support for Azure infrastructure issues (compute, network, storage)

Microsoft 365 (O365) Administration

- Manage and administer Microsoft 365 tenant, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Lead end-to-end O365 migrations, including mailbox migration, tenant setup, and hybrid configurations
- Configure and manage:
- Mail flow and transport rules
- Distribution lists and mailbox policies
- Security and compliance policies
- Ensure high availability and seamless user experience across M365 services

Identity Access Management (IAM)

- Design and manage Azure AD and hybrid Active Directory environments
- Implement and support:
- Azure AD Connect
- ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services)
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Manage identity lifecycle, access controls, and role-based access (RBAC)
- Maintain and troubleshoot LDAP/LDAPS integrations

; Security, Governance Compliance

- Implement and maintain cloud security best practices across Azure and M365
- Manage:
- Conditional access policies
- Identity protection
- Endpoint and data security
- Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001
- Conduct security audits, risk assessments, and remediation activities
- Manage PKI infrastructure and certificate services

AVD administration

Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, supporting thousands of users across multiple regions

Own and drive AVD strategy, roadmap, and governance, aligning virtual desktop architecture with business, security, and cost optimization goals

Design and manage highly available,



scalable AVD environments, including:

- Host pool architecture (pooled vs personal desktops)
- Session host image management (golden images, image pipelines)
- Autoscaling and workload-based optimization
- Multi-region DR-ready deployments

Architect and optimize user experience at scale, including:
- FSLogix profile containerization and optimization
- Login time reduction and session performance tuning
- Application delivery strategies (RemoteApp, full desktop)

Deep integration with Azure AD, Microsoft 365, and Identity Services, including:
- Azure AD Join / Hybrid AD Join
- Conditional Access policies for AVD
- Seamless SSO experience across virtual desktops
- Identity-driven security controls

Implement advanced security architecture for AVD, including:
- Zero Trust access model
- MFA enforcement and identity protection
- Endpoint security integration (Defender, compliance policies)
- Secure access via private endpoints, VPN, or ExpressRoute

Design and manage AVD networking architecture, including:
- VNet design, subnetting, and NSG configurations
- Secure connectivity between on-prem and Azure
- Latency optimization for distributed user bases

Lead cost optimization initiatives for AVD, including:
- Right-sizing of session hosts
- Autoscaling policies and reserved instances
- Monitoring and reducing idle resource consumption

Define and implement monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting frameworks using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and AVD Insights Drive disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity for AVD workloads with cross-region failover strategies

Lead large-scale AVD migrations and transformations, including:

- On-prem VDI (Citrix/VMware) to AVD migrations
- Legacy desktop modernization initiatives
- Application compatibility and remediation planning

Provide L3/L4 escalation support for complex AVD issues, including performance bottlenecks, session failures, and profile corruption Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and advisor for AVD, mentoring teams and defining best practices, standards, and automation frameworks

Infrastructure Network Integration





- Manage enterprise network integrations including VPN, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity
- Ensure secure communication between on-prem and cloud environments
- Support load balancers, DNS, and routing configurations

Disaster Recovery Business Continuity

- Design and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP)
- Ensure backup, replication, and failover strategies are in place
- Regularly test and validate DR scenarios

Migration Transformation Projects

- Lead cloud transformation initiatives including:
- O365 migrations (large-scale mailbox migrations)
- Azure AD hybrid integration projects
- Infrastructure modernization
- Plan and execute migrations with minimal downtime and business impact

; Monitoring, Support Operations

- Monitor infrastructure using enterprise tools and ensure SLA adherence
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues across Azure and M365
- Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and architecture

Stakeholder Vendor Management

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align IT solutions with business goals
- Manage vendors, licensing, and service providers
- Provide technical guidance and act as a trusted advisor

Required Skills Experience

- 8+ years of IT experience with strong focus on Azure Microsoft 365 administration
- Hands-on expertise in:
- Azure AD, ADFS, SSO, MFA
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
- Hybrid identity (AD + Azure AD)
- Strong experience in O365 migration and tenant management (1000+ users preferred)
- Knowledge of:
- PKI, certificate services, and security frameworks
- Networking (VPN, firewalls, DNS, routing)
- Experience in cloud security, compliance, and governance
- Exposure to AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) environments
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management
