About The Role The Associate Engineer – Windchill Cloud at PTC plays a vital role in supporting the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and upgrade of Windchill applications hosted in cloud environments. This position involves working closely with senior engineers to ensure the delivery of reliable cloud services that meet organizational standards for security, performance, and operational excellence. The role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, system administration, and customer support, ensuring that Windchill applications function seamlessly for end-users.

The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of cloud concepts, system administration, and PLM solutions, with a keen interest in developing their skills further within a dynamic, technology-driven workplace.

Qualifications

- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Basic knowledge of PTC Windchill PLM systems and cloud computing concepts is essential.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Linux and Windows Server,



as well as web servers like Apache and Tomcat, is preferred.
- Experience with databases, including Oracle and SQL, will be advantageous.
- Basic scripting skills in Shell or PowerShell are desirable to support automation tasks.
- Understanding of deployment processes, troubleshooting techniques, and system administration principles is necessary.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, along with Windchill administration experience, will be considered a plus.

Responsibilities Installation &

• Deployment

- Assist in deploying Windchill applications, build packages, CCDs, CPS, Maintenance Releases (MRs), temporary patches, and Rehost activities.
- Validate deployments to ensure successful implementation and resolve basic deployment issues as they arise.

Configuration &

• Maintenance

- Configure Windchill and supporting components in accordance with PTC Cloud standards.
- Perform routine system administration tasks such as log cleanup, cache management, index rebuilding, health checks, and service validation to ensure optimal system performance.

Upgrades &

• Support

- Support the execution of Windchill version upgrades, CPS, and MR updates, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Conduct post-upgrade validation and perform basic troubleshooting to address any issues that may occur.
- Investigate application, publishing, and deployment issues, escalating complex problems to senior team members as needed.

Customer &

• Operational Support





- Support customer change requests, scheduled maintenance, and production activities to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, deployment records, and knowledge articles for future reference and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, operations, and support to ensure timely service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
