Role Description The Clinical Analyst (HCC Auditor and NLP) is a full-time remote role responsible for reviewing medical records and documentation to ensure accurate Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) coding and risk adjustment. This role involves auditing charts, validating diagnoses, and identifying documentation gaps to support compliant capture of patient risk and quality metrics.

The Clinical

Analyst will work closely with clinical, coding, and product teams to interpret AI-generated outputs, refine natural language processing (NLP) rules, and provide feedback that improves the performance of DoctusTech’s AI agents. Daily tasks include conducting research on evolving coding guidelines, analyzing clinical data, preparing reports and recommendations, and contributing to process improvement initiatives.



The role also includes collaborating on projects, participating in virtual meetings, and supporting training and best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Research capabilities to review clinical data, validate HCC codes, and interpret AI/NLP outputs.
- Candidates should possess solid Communication skills to collaborate with clinicians, coders, and product teams, and to present audit findings clearly.
- Candidates should possess foundational Medicine knowledge, including clinical terminology, disease processes, and familiarity with value-based care and risk adjustment.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills to manage audit workflows, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Relevant experience with HCC coding, risk adjustment, or clinical documentation improvement is highly beneficial.
- Background in nursing, medicine, health information management, or a related clinical field is preferred; certification in coding (e.g., CPC, CRC, CCS) is a plus.

- Comfort working with health IT systems, EHRs, clinical datasets, and AI-driven tools; proficiency in basic data analysis tools (e.g., spreadsheets, dashboards) is helpful.
- Ability to work independently, maintain attention to detail, and uphold strict confidentiality and compliance standards in a remote setting.
