Chief of Staff InternRole OverviewThe Chief of Staff Intern will work directly with the executive leadership team and support some of the company’s highest-priority strategic and operational initiatives.
This is a high-exposure, fast-paced role designed for someone who wants to understand how a company is built, operated, and scaled from the leadership level. The intern will work across functions including Strategy, Operations, Product, Sales & Marketing, Finance, and People, helping leadership translate priorities into execution.
The role requires strong analytical ability, exceptional communication, ownership, discretion, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations.
Key Responsibilities1.
Strategic
Initiatives
- Support the research, planning, tracking, and execution of high-priority company initiatives.
- Work across departments including Operations, Product, Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Engineering.
- Break strategic objectives into clear action items, owners, milestones, and timelines.
- Identify execution gaps and proactively escalate issues requiring leadership attention.
2.
Executive
Preparation & Decision Support
- Prepare executive briefings, presentations, memos, agendas, and decision notes.
- Structure complex information into concise, actionable summaries for leadership.
- Support preparation for leadership reviews, board meetings, customer meetings, and company-wide discussions.
- Maintain follow-up trackers to ensure decisions translate into execution.

Operational
Efficiency
- Study existing workflows and identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and coordination gaps.
- Recommend and implement lightweight systems, processes, dashboards, and SOPs.
- Help improve accountability, communication flow, and operational discipline across teams.
- Track whether implemented processes are creating measurable improvements.
4. Cross-Functional Alignment
- Act as a coordination bridge between executive leadership and functional teams.
- Track OKRs, strategic projects, deadlines, and key action items across departments.
- Follow up with project owners and ensure leadership has visibility into progress, risks,
and dependencies.
- Help prevent important initiatives from getting delayed due to communication or ownership gaps.
5. Data, Research & Business Intelligence
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, industry benchmarking, and business analysis.
- Analyze internal operational and commercial data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Build reports and dashboards that help leadership make faster, better-informed decisions.
- Research new technologies, business models, partnerships, and strategic opportunities relevant to the company.

Human Capital
Identification & Grooming
- Work with leadership to identify high-potential employees across the organization.
- Observe performance, ownership, communication ability, leadership potential, and problem-solving capability.
- Help develop structured frameworks for identifying future managers and leaders.
- Support leadership-development initiatives, mentorship programs, and employee grooming plans.
- Track development goals and responsibilities assigned to high-potential team members.
- Help identify capability gaps within teams and recommend hiring, training, or organizational interventions.
- Support succession planning for critical roles as the organization scales.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Communications, Management, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to convert complex discussions, data, and problems into clear and concise recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Comfortable working with tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, dashboards, and modern AI/productivity tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.
- High degree of discretion when handling confidential business and leadership information.
- Proactive, highly observant, and comfortable taking ownership without requiring constant direction.
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to work effectively with people across different levels of the organization.
- Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving, and occasionally ambiguous workplace.
