Reporting to: Founder / Leadership Team THE ROLE

Ardee Technologies is looking for a Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer to lead the company’s AI vision, strategy and execution.

The CAIO will be responsible for building the intelligence layer behind Atlas — transforming school data, learning behaviour and academic activity into useful, personalised intelligence for students, parents, educators and school leadership.

This is not a conventional IT leadership position.

We are looking for someone who can operate at the intersection of AI research, engineering, product and education — and translate advances in artificial intelligence into products used every day.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

AI Strategy

Define the long-term AI architecture and roadmap for Atlas.

Identify where AI can fundamentally improve learning, assessment, personalisation, school operations and decision-making.

Build a clear path from today’s AI capabilities toward increasingly intelligent and autonomous educational systems.

AI Product

Own the AI intelligence powering Atlas products, including:

- Personalised student insights
- Academic and engagement intelligence
- AI-powered learning assistance
- Adaptive practice and assessment
- Intelligent recommendations
- Parent and educator insights
- Conversational AI
- Predictive analytics
- AI agents and workflow automation

Work directly with Product and Design to ensure AI becomes part of the core user experience rather than an isolated feature.

Models & Intelligence

Determine the right combination of proprietary models, frontier third-party models, fine-tuning, retrieval systems and specialised education models.





Develop systems capable of understanding a student’s academic history, learning behaviour, school context and progress over time.

Continuously evaluate new models and AI technologies and determine what should — and should not — be incorporated into Atlas.

Data

Build the data architecture required to turn everyday school activity into useful intelligence.

Establish systems for data quality, evaluation, feedback loops and continuous model improvement.

Ensure Atlas develops a defensible intelligence advantage as its dataset and usage grow.

AI Engineering

Build and lead a high-calibre AI organisation spanning:

- Machine Learning
- Applied AI
- AI Engineering
- Data Science
- Evaluation
- AI Infrastructure

Set engineering standards for reliability, latency, scalability and cost.

Safety, Privacy & Trust

Establish the company’s AI governance framework.

Ensure student and school data is handled with exceptionally high standards of privacy and security.

Build systems that are explainable and appropriate for use by children, parents and educators.

Create rigorous safeguards around hallucinations, inappropriate outputs, bias and high-stakes educational recommendations.

Research → Product

Track advances across frontier AI research and rapidly determine their practical application to education.





Build a culture where new AI capabilities can move from experimentation to production quickly.

Develop relationships with leading AI labs, researchers, universities and technology partners.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR An exceptional AI technologist and builder who combines deep technical understanding with strong product judgment.

You should understand modern AI systems at a fundamental level while being equally comfortable deciding what should actually be built.

You will likely have

- Significant experience building and deploying AI/ML products
- Deep understanding of LLMs, multimodal models, agents, RAG, fine-tuning and evaluation
- Strong foundations in machine learning and data systems
- Experience leading high-performing technical teams
- Experience taking AI systems from prototype to production
- Robust product instincts
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts simply
- Comfort working directly with founders and senior leadership

Experience in education is valuable but not essential.

Experience building consumer-scale AI products is particularly valuable.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE The CAIO should make Atlas progressively more intelligent with every student, classroom and school that uses it.

Within the first year, this person should establish the company’s AI architecture, build the core AI team, significantly improve Atlas’s existing intelligence products and launch new AI-native capabilities that would not have been possible through traditional software.

The long-term objective is simple:

Build an intelligence system that understands how a student is learning and helps every person around that student make better decisions

Pay: Up to ₹100,000.00 per month
