Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Chess Instructor at TalentCraft India.

The Chess

Instructor will conduct online chess classes for learners aged 5 to 18, using structured lesson plans and interactive teaching methods.

Responsibilities include teaching chess fundamentals and advanced concepts, guiding students through practice games, analyzing positions, and developing training exercises tailored to different skill levels. The role involves assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting learners in improving strategic thinking and concentration.

Instructor will collaborate with the academy team to refine curriculum,



participate in parent or guardian updates, and help organize online events or tournaments.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Chess, including opening principles, tactics, strategy, and endgame fundamentals.
- Candidates should possess Teaching and Tutoring skills to deliver engaging lessons and adapt instruction to varied age groups and learning styles.
- Candidates should possess Training skills to design practice plans, track progress, and prepare learners for competitions or assessments.
- Candidates should possess a good foundation in Mathematics to support logical reasoning, pattern recognition, and problem-solving activities in chess learning.
- Experience teaching children or adolescents in an online environment, with comfort using video conferencing and digital learning tools.
- Transparent spoken and written communication in English; ability to explain complex ideas in simple, age-appropriate language.
- Patience, empathy, and a learner-centered approach, with strong classroom management skills in virtual settings.
- Formal certification or demonstrated achievement in chess (ratings, tournament experience, or coaching credentials) is preferred.
- Availability to work flexible hours aligned with student schedules and to coordinate with a distributed team.
