Job Summary

We are looking for a Procurement Executive with experience in sourcing and purchasing raw materials, components, and consumables used in Specialty Gas and Calibration Gas manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for vendor development, sourcing, negotiation, purchase coordination, inventory planning, and ensuring timely availability of materials as per production and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Procure raw materials, gas mixtures components, cylinders, valves, regulators, fittings, tubes, accessories, and other production-related materials required for Specialty & Calibration Gas operations.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Float RFQs, compare quotations, negotiate price, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.
- Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely procurement.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, Sales, and Accounts for material requirements and delivery schedules.
- Maintain proper records of purchase orders, quotations, vendor documents, invoices, and procurement data.
- Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery and resolve issues related to quality, quantity, pricing, and delayed supplies.
- Support vendor qualification and evaluation as per company procedures and quality requirements.
- Monitor raw material availability and coordinate with Stores for stock requirements and replenishment.
- Develop alternate sources for critical/raw materials to avoid production interruptions.
- Assist in cost reduction and vendor negotiation initiatives without compromising quality and delivery requirements.
- Verify material specifications, technical requirements, and approved vendor details before placing orders.




- Coordinate with Finance and Accounts regarding vendor invoices, payment status, and commercial documentation.
- Maintain procurement MIS and provide regular updates on open POs, pending materials, vendor status, and purchase costs.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and applicable statutory/documentation requirements.

Key Materials / Components Exposure Candidates with experience in procurement of the following will be preferred:

- Specialty & Calibration Gas raw materials
- Pure gases and industrial gases
- Gas mixture components
- Gas cylinders and cylinder accessories
- Cylinder valves and regulators
- Gas manifold/components
- SS tubes, fittings, connectors, and adapters
- Pressure gauges and related accessories
- Chemicals and process-related consumables
- Packaging materials and other production consumables

Candidate Profile

- Graduate in B.Sc. (Chemistry) / Diploma - Chemical / Engineering Chemical or any relevant qualification.
- 1-3 years of experience in Procurement / Purchase, preferably in Specialty Gas, Calibration Gas, Chemicals, Industrial Gas, Manufacturing, or Engineering industries.
- Good knowledge of vendor development, quotation comparison, negotiation, PO processing, and material follow-up.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Good understanding of MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP/SAP.
- Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements and work within deadlines.
- Robust negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of technical specifications and industrial components will be an added advantage.
