Role Description The Carpet Installer is responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing a variety of carpet types in residential and commercial spaces, ensuring clean finishes and secure fittings. Day-to-day tasks include preparing subfloors, removing existing flooring when required, laying carpet padding, installing carpet using appropriate tools and techniques, and trimming and seaming for a precise fit. The role also involves inspecting completed work, addressing minor repairs or adjustments, maintaining tools and equipment, and following safety and quality guidelines.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai,



working closely with project supervisors, designers, and other installation professionals to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to customer specifications.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in carpet installation or flooring work, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and finishing carpets.
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans or installation instructions, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of surface preparation, use of adhesives and underlays, and basic repair techniques for carpets and subfloors.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Commitment to safe work practices and proper use of hand tools, power tools, and protective equipment.
- Strong time management skills and reliability in meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with team members and clients.
- Prior experience in interior fit-out, flooring, or related trades is preferred; vocational training or certification in flooring installation is an advantage.
