BUSINESS HEAD – SURGICAL & MEDICAL CONSUMABLES & HEALTHCARE PRODUCTS

Chennai, Tamil Nadu | Full-time | 10–15 years experience

We are building a new medical & surgical consumables business in Chennai, initially focused on surgical gowns, drapes, gauze & dressings, absorbent cotton, sterile procedure packs and customised surgical consumables, with plans to expand into institutional healthcare, OEM/private label and exports.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Business Head to build and lead the business from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the business strategy, P&L;, revenue and margins
- Build and commercialise the initial product portfolio
- Set up and optimise manufacturing, sourcing and supply chain
- Establish QA/RA systems, ISO 13485 and CDSCO compliance
- Build relationships with hospitals, hospital chains, surgeons and procurement teams
- Develop pan-India distributor, institutional and tender business
- Identify OEM, private-label and export opportunities
- Recruit and lead teams across manufacturing, QA/RA, sales and supply chain

Ideal Candidate
- 10–15 years in medical devices, surgical consumables, medical disposables or healthcare manufacturing
- Robust experience with gowns,



drapes, procedure packs, dressings or wound care similar products
- Exposure to sterile products and ISO 13485/CDSCO is preferred
- Proven hospital/institutional sales and distributor-network experience
- Strong understanding of costing, pricing, margins and P&L;
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build a business, not just manage a function

First 12 Months The Business Head will be expected to establish the product portfolio and manufacturing/quality systems, launch the first range, develop key hospital and distributor relationships, build a strong sales pipeline and lay the foundation for national and export growth.
