We are looking for a dynamic and commercially driven Assistant Manager - Business Development & EXIM to support business growth, defence and aerospace procurement activities, and international trade compliance.

The role combines business development, bid management, export-import operations, regulatory licensing, and stakeholder coordination . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with DGFT licensing, SCOMET and export-control requirements, restricted goods compliance, defence procurement processes, and RFP/RFQ management.

Requirements Key Responsibilities

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Defence & Aerospace markets
- Support business development activities for domestic and international customers, government agencies, PSUs, OEMs, and strategic partners
- Manage and coordinate RFPs, RFQs, EOIs, tenders, and bid-management activities
- Review tender and procurement documents and coordinate with internal teams for technical and commercial submissions
- Build and maintain qualified relationships with customers, defence organisations, government stakeholders, and industry partners
- Coordinate DGFT and relevant import-export licences, authorisations, and approvals for defence and aerospace products
- Manage EXIM compliance requirements for restricted, controlled, and dual-use goods
- Coordinate with DGFT, Customs, Ministry of Defence, and other regulatory authorities for required approvals and clearances
- Ensure compliance with applicable Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), SCOMET, export-control, and customs requirements
- Monitor licence validity, utilisation, renewals, and associated regulatory documentation
- Prepare, review, and maintain import-export and regulatory documentation
- Track licensing, approval,



and compliance timelines to ensure timely completion of regulatory requirements
- Support audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and regulatory assessments related to EXIM operations
- Coordinate with international OEMs, suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders on trade and procurement requirements
- Support government procurement, defence acquisition, and related commercial processes
- Maintain accurate records of licences, approvals, submissions, correspondence, and compliance activities
- Identify potential regulatory or commercial risks and escalate issues appropriately

What Makes You a Great Fit
- 5+ years of experience in Business Development, EXIM, international trade, defence procurement, or a closely related function
- Hands-on experience with DGFT licensing, SCOMET, export-import compliance, customs processes, and regulatory documentation
- Strong understanding of RFP/RFQ management, tendering, bidding, and government procurement processes
- Experience working with defence, aerospace, homeland security, manufacturing, government, or other regulated industries is preferred
- Practical knowledge of import-export regulations, licensing procedures, and export-control requirements
- Experience coordinating with DGFT, Customs, Ministry of Defence, or other government and regulatory authorities
- Exposure to international OEMs, suppliers, strategic partners, or cross-border business environments
- Understanding of defence procurement, offset programmes, or related government contracting processes is an advantage
- Strong business development and commercial awareness with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder-management, and coordination skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex regulatory documentation and timelines
- Ability to work effectively across business development, legal, compliance, finance, technical, and operations teams
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, International Trade, or a related discipline is preferred
