Business Analyst – Payment Gateway

Role Summary

We are looking for a Business Analyst with experience in Payment Gateway/FinTech to manage functional requirements, merchant onboarding, payment flows, reconciliation, settlement, API integrations and Jira-based project tracking.

Key Responsibilities

Understand end-to-end Payment Gateway functionality covering Cards, UPI and other payment modes.

Manage merchant onboarding requirements including KYC/KYB, merchant configuration, MCC, transaction limits and go-live.

Prepare BRD/FSD, user stories, use cases, process flows and acceptance criteria.

Understand payment lifecycle: Payment Initiation → Authorization → Success/Failure → Reconciliation → Settlement → Refund/Chargeback.

Define and validate API request/response, webhooks, transaction status and refund flows.

Handle functional requirements for reconciliation, settlement and exception management.





Create and manage Epics, Stories, Tasks and Bugs in Jira.

Coordinate with Product, Development, QA, Operations, Risk/Compliance and banking partners.

Support SIT, UAT, defect tracking and production go-live.

Valuable to Have: Payment Switch, ISO 8583, 3DS, NPCI/RuPay, Visa/Mastercard and RBI payment ecosystem knowledge.
