Role Description The Cluster Credit Manager & Branch Credit Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Tumkur. The role involves overseeing credit assessment and approval processes for microcredit loans, ensuring that credit policies and risk guidelines are consistently applied across assigned branches and clusters.

Responsibilities include reviewing loan applications, analyzing customer financial profiles, monitoring portfolio quality, and taking timely action to manage delinquencies and minimize credit losses. The role also includes guiding branch teams on credit procedures,



conducting field visits when required, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. The manager will collaborate with operations and business teams to support responsible growth, maintain accurate documentation, and provide regular reports on credit performance and risk trends.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Credit Management and Credit, with experience in evaluating and approving loan proposals.
- Candidates should possess Credit Risk Management skills, including the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate portfolio and borrower-level risks.
- Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, repayment behavior, and portfolio performance metrics.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Finance, particularly in lending, microfinance, and basic financial analysis.
- Relevant experience in microfinance or retail lending, preferably in credit or risk roles.
- Ability to lead and coach branch teams, maintain high ethical standards, and follow structured processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Graduate degree in finance, commerce, economics, or a related field; additional certifications in credit or risk management are an advantage.
