George Maijo Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. – Maruti Suzuki is looking for an experienced Body Shop Supervisor for our Kalamassery branch. The candidate will be responsible for supervising day-to-day body shop operations, coordinating technicians, ensuring repair quality, and completing jobs within the committed timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily Body Shop operations and ensure smooth workflow.
- Allocate jobs to technicians based on skills and workload.
- Monitor denting, painting, panel replacement, accident repair, and body restoration activities.
- Ensure vehicles are repaired according to quality standards and customer requirements.
- Monitor job progress, WIP, and ensure timely vehicle delivery.
- Coordinate with Body Shop Manager, Service Advisors, insurance team, and technicians.
- Inspect completed repair work and ensure proper finishing and quality.
- Provide technical guidance and support to body shop technicians.
- Monitor technician productivity and work efficiency.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Maintain workplace safety, cleanliness, and discipline.
- Handle technical issues and resolve workflow-related problems.
- Ensure proper documentation and job card updates.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly operational reports.
- Support customer complaint resolution related to body shop repairs.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in the automobile industry.
- Previous experience in an automobile body shop/workshop is preferred.
- Good knowledge of denting, painting, accident repair, panel replacement, and vehicle body repair processes.
- Robust team supervision and coordination skills.
- Valuable communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple repair jobs and meet delivery timelines.
- Knowledge of workshop safety and quality standards.
Preferred Candidate Candidates with 2+ years of relevant automobile body shop experience and strong knowledge of body repair operations will be preferred.
Pay: From ₹13,000.00 per month
