We are seeking a qualified and responsible Blood Bank Technician to assist in the collection, processing, testing, storage, and issue of blood and blood components while maintaining strict quality, safety, and documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities Collect and process blood donations according to established protocols. Perform ABO and Rh blood grouping and cross-matching. Conduct antibody screening and other routine immunohematology tests.

Perform testing of blood and donor samples as per applicable protocols. Prepare and handle blood components such as packed red cells, plasma, and platelets, as applicable. Ensure proper storage and maintenance of blood and blood components at required temperatures.

Issue blood and blood components against authorized requests after completing required checks. Maintain accurate records of collection, testing, processing, storage, and issue. Monitor blood bank refrigerators, freezers, platelet incubators, and other equipment.

Follow infection-control, biomedical waste management, and blood-bank safety procedures. Report any discrepancy, transfusion reaction, equipment malfunction,



or other adverse event to the appropriate senior personnel. Maintain adequate stocks of reagents, consumables, and blood-bank supplies.

Qualifications

12th (Science) + DMLT / Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, or B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc. MLT) / equivalent recognized qualification.

Specialized training/experience in Blood Bank or Transfusion Medicine preferred.

Registration with the relevant State Paramedical Council, wherever applicable.

Experience in a licensed blood bank / hospital blood bank will be preferred.

Freshers with relevant blood-bank training may also be considered.

Skills Required

Good knowledge of blood grouping, cross-matching, and transfusion-related laboratory procedures. Careful handling of blood samples and blood components. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good documentation and record-keeping skills. Ability to work in shifts, including emergencies when required. Positive communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
