Educational Qualification B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering – Mandatory Preferred Experience Candidates with prior experience in Data Center / Mission Critical projects will be strongly preferred.
Reporting To (Project Team) Project Director / CSA Lead Role Summary The
Billing Engineer – MEP will be responsible for measurement, quantity verification, billing review and certification of MEP works executed by contractors for the Data Center project. The candidate will coordinate with the Mechanical Lead, Electrical Lead, MEP Engineers, Planning Lead, Project Director, contractors and commercial team to ensure accurate billing based on approved BOQs, drawings, specifications, actual site execution and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities 1. MEP Billing & Measurement
- Review and verify contractor RA Bills, interim bills and final bills for MEP works.
- Verify quantities against approved BOQs, drawings, specifications and actual site execution.
- Carry out and verify joint measurements with contractors and MEP site teams.
- Ensure billed quantities correspond to physically completed and approved works.
- Verify supporting documents, inspection records and approvals required for bill certification.
- Check applicable deductions, recoveries, retention, advances and contractual adjustments.

Mechanical / HVAC Billing Verify quantities and billing for applicable systems including:
• HVAC systems
- Insulation
- Valves and accessories
- Mechanical equipment
- Associated installation works
1. Electrical Billing Verify quantities and billing for applicable systems including:
• Electrical containment and accessories
1. ELV Billing Coordinate and verify billing for applicable ELV systems, including:
• BMS
- Fire alarm systems
- CCTV
- Access control
- Review additional/deviation items and assist with rate analysis. • Verify variation statements and change orders.
1. Site Coordination
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, ELV and site engineers for measurement verification.
- Verify completed installations against approved drawings and specifications. • Ensure billed quantities are supported by relevant inspection and approval records.
1. Contract & Commercial Coordination
• Review contractual measurement and payment provisions.
- Verify contractor claims in accordance with contract conditions.
- Support evaluation of variations, additional items and change orders.
- Assist in assessment of contractor commercial claims.

- BOQ reconciliation
- Valuable understanding of MEP BOQs and specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret Mechanical/Electrical drawings.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical and ELV systems.
- Experience in quantity reconciliation and variation management.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Good understanding of contract measurement and billing procedures.
