About the role

We are hiring a Business Development Executive for our Recovery of Shares service line. This desk helps investors and legal heirs reclaim shares and dividends that have been transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) after seven years of inactivity, along with related work such as transmission of shares, duplicate share certificates and unclaimed dividend claims.

Leads arrive from people who have discovered dormant shareholdings, families settling a deceased relative’s estate, and executors managing inherited assets. Your job is to speak with them, establish whether the holding is actually recoverable, explain the IEPF-5 route in plain language, and convert the enquiry into a signed engagement. This is a consultative sale with a strong emotional component — callers are often anxious that money is gone for good — so clarity and patience convert better than pressure.

Key responsibilities Lead handling and conversion

- Respond to inbound enquiries on Recovery of Shares within the committed response time, across calls, email and WhatsApp.
- Run the free advisory call: understand the holding, identify the company and folio, and set realistic expectations on process and timeline.
- Qualify claims early — whether the shares sit with IEPF, whether the caller is the rightful claimant, and what documentation gap will be the bottleneck.
- Prepare and present proposals, negotiate fees within approved limits, and close the engagement.
- Follow up systematically on open and dormant leads instead of letting them lapse.

Domain and client management

- Explain the IEPF-5 filing route,



entitlement letter requirement and the company/nodal-officer liaison step accurately to non-expert clients.
- Identify cases requiring transmission of shares, legal heir certification, or duplicate share certificates, and route them to the right internal expert.
- Coordinate with the operations and compliance team so that what you promised at the sale is what gets delivered.
- Handle client questions during the claim and keep them informed at each stage.

Reporting and discipline

- Maintain accurate, same-day CRM entries — lead source, stage, next action and expected closure date.
- Report daily and weekly numbers on calls, conversions and revenue against target.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities across the wider compliance portfolio where a client has a related need.

Who we are looking forRequired

- 1–5 years in B2C or B2B sales, ideally in legal, financial, compliance or professional services.
- Graduate in any discipline. B.Com, BBA, BA Economics or a finance-related degree is an advantage.
- Confident spoken and written English and Hindi — most ROS conversations run in Hindi.
- Comfortable with financial vocabulary: shares, folio, dividend, demat, transmission, nominee.
- Working knowledge of CRM tools, Excel and email etiquette.
- Patience and empathy — a large share of callers are senior citizens or recently bereaved families.

Preferred

- Prior exposure to IEPF claims, share transmission, RTA coordination, demat or broking operations.
- Experience selling a service with a long fulfilment cycle, where the client pays before the outcome is visible.
- Track record of consistently meeting a monthly revenue target.

What will not work here

- A pure telecalling background with no consultative selling.
- Anyone uncomfortable saying "your shares may not be recoverable" when that is the honest answer — mis-selling in this line creates refund disputes and regulatory risk.
