Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled, passionate Barista / Senior Barista to lead our coffee and beverage operations at Mira’s. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to coffee craft, proficient in espresso dial-in, manual brews, and free-pour latte art, while maintaining seamless bar hygiene, equipment maintenance, and warm customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Espresso & Coffee Preparation:

· Dial in espresso grinders daily based on roast profile, humidity, and recipe yield targets.

· Prepare a wide range of espresso-based hot and cold beverages (espressos, cortados, flat whites, cappuccinos, lattes, cold brews) with consistency.

· Demonstrate high skill in milk texturing (micro-foam) and free-pour latte art (hearts, rosettas, tulips).

· Operate and showcase manual pour-over brewing methods (V60, French Press, Aeropress) and artisanal teas when requested.

2. Beverage Innovation & Guest Service:

· Guide guests through the coffee origin, tasting notes, roast profiles, and beverage menu recommendations.

· Collaborate with the head team to craft seasonal beverage specials, iced coolers, signature syrups, and mocktails.

· Engage patrons warmly, take beverage orders with attention to customizations (milk alternatives, sweetness levels, temperatures), and ensure swift service delivery.

3. Equipment Calibration & Bar Maintenance:

· Operate, clean, and backflush commercial espresso machines, clean steam wands, grinder burrs, and water filtration systems daily.

· Execute proper opening and closing sanitation routines across the coffee bar station, knock boxes, and refrigeration units.





· Promptly report any machine calibration issues, grinder irregularities, or preventative maintenance requirements.

4. Bar Inventory Control & Junior Staff Guidance (Sr. Barista):

· Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, dairy and plant-based milks, beverage syrups, takeaway cups, and lids to prevent operational shortages.

· Adhere strictly to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) standards for beans and perishable bar ingredients.

· Train and mentor junior baristas and service staff on coffee brewing fundamentals, hygiene protocols, and beverage consistency.

Qualifications & Skills:

· 1–3 years (Barista) or 3–5 years (Senior Barista) of hands-on experience in cafés, specialty coffee roasteries, or upscale casual dining.

· Deep understanding of espresso extraction parameters, brew ratios, grind size adjustments, and tasting palate.

· Proficiency in milk steaming techniques and latte art.

· Familiarity with commercial espresso machines (e.g., La Marzocco, Nuova Simonelli, Sanremo) and professional grinders (Mahlkönig, Mythos, Fiorenzato).

· Pleasant, customer-focused demeanor with good communication skills in English and Hindi.

· High personal hygiene standards, discipline, and stamina to manage high-volume rush hours.

· Willingness to work operational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

· Budgeted Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹22,000 per month (commensurate with experience, latte art skills, and Barista vs. Senior Barista level).
