ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Backend Developer Intern, you will assist in developing and maintaining the server-side components of web and software applications. You will gain practical exposure to backend programming, APIs, databases, authentication, server-side logic, testing, debugging, and deployment workflows.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist in developing and maintaining backend applications and services.
- Write clean, structured, scalable, and reusable server-side code.
- Develop APIs and backend functionality based on project requirements.
- Work with databases to store, retrieve, update, and manage application data.
- Implement basic authentication, authorization, and application security practices.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve backend bugs and technical issues.
- Test APIs and backend functionality for reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend services with user interfaces.




- Use Git/GitHub for version control and team-oriented development.
- Participate in code reviews and implement technical feedback.
- Maintain technical documentation for APIs, databases, and backend features.
- Support application deployment, maintenance, and updates when required.

ELIGIBILITY

- Open to applicants from all educational and professional backgrounds.
- Strong interest in backend development and software engineering.
- Willingness to learn programming, databases, APIs, and backend technologies.
- Ability to work on practical projects and meet assigned deadlines.
- Availability for a three-month, full-time remote internship.

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Basic knowledge of any backend programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, PHP, C#, or similar.
- Understanding of basic backend and server-side development concepts.
- Basic knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and HTTP concepts.
- Familiarity with backend frameworks is preferred.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub is preferred.
- Good problem-solving, debugging, and logical-thinking skills.
- Clear communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
