Job Summary:

The AVP will be responsible for leading the overall Equity Research function at Valmiki Leela Capital and will serve as the senior research authority across all sector verticals. The role will oversee research coverage across IT & Technology, Pharma & Healthcare, Energy & Power, FMCG & Consumer and other identified sectors, while independently evaluating significant companies and industry opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the overall research function and provide direction to sector-specific research professionals covering different industry verticals.

- Develop and maintain a structured research framework covering industry analysis, company evaluation, financial modelling, valuation, peer benchmarking and investment/transaction research.

- Review and challenge sector reports, company research, valuations, financial models and due-diligence findings prepared by the research team.

- Independently evaluate high-potential unlisted, pre-IPO and growth-stage companies, including business quality, financial performance, industry positioning, scalability,



management and key risks.

- Provide senior-level research and industry inputs for IPO assignments, including business due diligence, industry positioning, peer analysis, DRHP/RHP review and transaction documentation.

- Guide sector researchers in building deep industry databases, primary research networks and company intelligence, ensuring each sector has comprehensive and continuously updated coverage.

- Participate in promoter/management meetings, industry discussions and transaction-level engagements, representing the research function and providing independent analytical insights.

Critical Requirements:

- Mandatory: NISM-Series-XV Research Analyst Certification.

- 6+ years of relevant experience after obtaining the required Research Analyst certification, as per the company's hiring requirement.

- Solid experience in Equity Research, Investment Banking, Merchant Banking, Capital Markets or Industry Research.
