Automation Tester Intern (QA)

Quality Assurance — Automation | Navi Mumbai (On-site) | 3-Month Internship

INTERNSHIP STRUCTURE

Duration: 3 months, on-site. Conversion: Performance during the internship is reviewed at the end of the term. Strong performers are converted to a full-time role at Arcitech AI; this is not automatic and is assessed against the same bar as our full-time hires for this function.

Prior project experience (academic, personal, freelance, hackathon, or open-source) directly relevant to this role is required to be considered — we are not hiring purely on academic credentials with no applied work to show.

Role Overview

Arcitech AI is looking for an Automation Tester Intern to join our QA team and work on automated test scripts using Selenium and Java,



under the guidance of our senior automation engineers. Strong performers over the 3-month term will be considered for a full time Automation Tester role.

You should already have written and run at least one automated test script — a personal project, a college assignment, or a self-driven Selenium exercise. We will train you on our frameworks and standards; we expect basic automation fundamentals already in place.

Responsibilities

- Design and write automated test scripts using Selenium and Java, under senior guidance.
- Assist with API testing to validate integration and functionality across components.
- Support regression testing to help maintain system stability across releases.
- Debug failing automated tests and learn to distinguish a real defect from a flaky test.
- Work with the QA and development teams to understand features before automating their tests.
- Take ownership of automating test coverage for at least one small module during the internship, as a

basis for your conversion evaluation.

Qualifications

- Pursuing or completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 0–1 years of professional experience — internships, coursework,



and self-driven projects all count.
- Mandatory: at least one automation testing project you can walk us through — a Selenium script you

wrote, a personal automation exercise, or coursework with a working test suite. Applications without a demonstrable project will not be considered.

Skills

- Working knowledge of Java and basic Selenium WebDriver concepts.
- Understanding of core testing methodologies (functional, regression).
- Basic understanding of API testing concepts.
- Comfort reading and debugging test scripts, including ones you didn't write.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Clear communication — able to explain what your scripts test and why they failed.

Nice to Have

- Exposure to a test framework (TestNG, JUnit) or a CI tool.
- Exposure to Postman or API automation.
- A GitHub repo with your automation scripts.

Other Details This is a 3-month, on-site internship based in Navi Mumbai. You will be mentored directly by our senior QA automation team.

Performance is evaluated on script quality, reliability, and how well you debug your own failures, not just volume of scripts written.

Compensation

Stipend Range: ₹1,20,000 – ₹1,80,000 per annum (approx. ₹10,000 – ₹15,000 per month), based on skill assessment during the interview process. Room for negotiation
