Role Description This is a full time, on-site Automation Engineer role based in Kollam.

The Automation

Engineer will design, develop, and implement automation solutions for assembly and testing systems across automotive, electrical, electronics, medical, and other engineering applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include programming and configuring automation and robotics systems, integrating sensors and control hardware, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements. The role involves diagnosing system issues, performing root-cause analysis, optimizing process control parameters, and ensuring that solutions meet safety and quality standards.

The Automation

Engineer will also prepare technical documentation, support system commissioning, and provide training and ongoing support to operations teams.

Qualifications





- Candidates should possess strong skills in Automation and Process Control to design, program, and optimize automated systems.
- Candidates should possess foundational Electrical Engineering skills to work with control panels, wiring, and industrial instrumentation.
- Candidates should possess Robotics skills to configure, integrate, and troubleshoot robotic cells and related equipment.
- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose faults, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or related field).
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, motion control, industrial communication protocols, and safety standards is highly beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specification documents.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for documentation, reporting, and coordination with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Prior experience in automation projects for assembly and testing, especially in automotive, electrical, or medical sectors, is an advantage.
