Role Overview

We are looking for a technically skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer / Industrial Product Designer to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying 2D engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, component designs, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation for industrial machinery and mechanical components. The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D CAD software, along with a valuable understanding of how engineering designs are converted into manufacturable industrial components.

The candidate will work closely with production, quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams to develop, modify, and improve machinery components and industrial products.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and modify 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop 3D models and mechanical components using relevant 3D CAD software.
- Prepare detailed part drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and manufacturing drawings.
- Convert concepts and engineering requirements into practical, manufacturable designs.
- Make design modifications based on production and engineering requirements.
- Ensure drawings include appropriate dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and manufacturing details.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, drawing revisions, and design records.
- Coordinate with production and manufacturing teams to resolve design and fabrication-related issues.




- Support the development and improvement of existing machinery components and products.
- Review drawings and designs for accuracy, manufacturability, and adherence to specifications.
- Incorporate feedback from engineering, quality, and production teams into drawings and models.
- Assist in identifying and implementing design improvements for better functionality, manufacturing efficiency, and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma / ITI / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience in AutoCAD, mechanical design, or industrial product design.
- Strong practical knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of any 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Creo, Inventor, or similar.
- Good understanding of mechanical components, fabrication, machining, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of dimensions, tolerances, fits, materials, and manufacturing standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good problem-solving and design modification skills.
- Ability to work effectively with production, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
- Willingness to work in an onsite manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills

- Experience designing components for industrial machinery or mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly.
- Understanding of BOM preparation and engineering documentation.
- Familiarity with design-for-manufacturing principles.
- Ability to understand and implement design changes based on shop-floor requirements.
