We are looking for an experienced Audit Assistant – Statutory Audit to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have 3–4 years of relevant experience in Statutory Audit, preferably with exposure to manufacturing companies and listed companies.
The candidate should be comfortable working on both for-profit and non-profit assignments and should have strong knowledge of statutory audit processes and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and execute Statutory Audit assignments independently and as part of the audit team.
- Perform audit procedures including vouching, verification, substantive testing and analytical review.
- Experience in handling audits of manufacturing companies is required.
- Should have experience working with or handling audits of listed companies.
- Review financial statements, schedules, ledgers and supporting documents.
- Assist in preparation and review of audit working papers and audit documentation.
- Identify audit issues and communicate observations to seniors/partners.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Accounting Standards, Companies Act and auditing standards.
- Coordinate with clients for audit-related information and clarifications.
- Handle multiple audit assignments and ensure timely completion.
- Be willing to work on non-profit organization (NPO)
/ non-profit assignments as required.
- Support seniors and managers in planning and execution of audit engagements.
Requirements
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in Statutory Audit.
- Strong exposure to Statutory Audit of manufacturing companies.
- Experience handling listed company audits is preferred/required.
- Good understanding of audit procedures, financial statements and accounting standards.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage assigned audit work.
- Candidate should be based in Mumbai and willing to work from the Mumbai office.
- Should be versatile and open to working on non-profit assignments.
Qualification
- CA / CA Inter / B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
- Candidates with relevant experience in a CA firm will be preferred.
