Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager Operations (Veterinary) to manage production planning, third-party manufacturing operations, vendor coordination, inventory planning and supply execution for veterinary products. The role will work closely with Marketing, Production Sites, QA/CQA, RA, Procurement and Third-Party Manufacturing vendors to ensure timely and uninterrupted product availability.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct and coordinate monthly PPIC (Production Planning & Inventory Control) meetings and finalize production plans based on business requirements.
- Communicate monthly requirements to respective Third-Party (TP) manufacturing sites and coordinate production execution.
- Negotiate manufacturing rates for new requirements and obtain necessary internal approvals for rate revisions.
- Align monthly production and delivery schedules with Marketing priorities and customer/business commitments.
- Coordinate regularly with site production teams and TP manufacturing sites for timely execution of critical products and resolution of operational issues.
- Identify and source recent products/vendors based on Marketing requirements and coordinate with QA/CQA for vendor/site approvals and quality-related requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels, production status and material availability to ensure uninterrupted supply.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, alternate sourcing and vendor optimization, including monitoring API availability and product requirements.
- Coordinate with TP vendors and internal stakeholders for timely execution of production and delivery plans.
- Review and process third-party invoices to facilitate timely vendor payments.




- Monitor and prepare weekly MIS for Finished Goods (FG) held at depots.
- Prepare and circulate monthly production plan MIS to CQA and respective site representatives.
- Coordinate with CQA and RA for NSQ/quality-related matters and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain operational and procurement MIS covering Production Planning, OTIF, Open POs, Top Vendors & Products, Factory Inspection Reports, VOP, Data Bank, GR receipts, PO reconciliation and critical products.
- Carry out system sanitization activities such as PR/PO short closure and reconciliation.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation plans for supply disruptions, vendor-related issues and regulatory risks.
- Track vendor performance, production commitments and delivery schedules to ensure OTIF performance.
- Present procurement, supply and operational updates to the HOD and other relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with TP vendors for shelf-life extension of applicable products, including follow-up for extension from 24 to 36 months and 18 to 24 months, wherever applicable.
- Maintain effective coordination with Marketing, QA/CQA, RA, Production, Procurement and Third-Party Manufacturing vendors for smooth supply operations.

Candidate Profile

- 5-15 years of relevant experience in Pharmaceutical / Veterinary / Animal Health operations.
- Strong experience in Third-Party Manufacturing / Contract Manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience in PPIC, production planning, vendor coordination and supply management.
- Experience in managing multiple vendors/sites and coordinating production and delivery schedules.
- Good understanding of pharma/veterinary manufacturing, quality and regulatory processes.
- Strong negotiation, coordination, analytical and MIS/reporting skills.
- B.Pharm / MBA Operations preferred.
- Candidates with direct Veterinary / Animal Health industry experience will be preferred.
