Role Description The Associate role is a full time, on-site position based in Kozhikode. The Associate will assist in legal research, drafting pleadings, contracts, and opinions, and preparing case files for hearings before various courts and tribunals. Daily responsibilities include analyzing statutes and case law, reviewing documents and evidence, and supporting senior lawyers in strategy formulation and client advisory work.





The Associate will attend client meetings, participate in conferences with counsel, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely filings and compliance with procedural requirements. The role also involves contributing to knowledge management, maintaining accurate records, and staying updated on developments in relevant areas of law.

Qualifications

- Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret statutes, case law, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in legal drafting, including pleadings, contracts, opinions, and correspondence.
- Sound knowledge of core areas such as civil and criminal law, corporate and commercial law, and constitutional principles; exposure to arbitration and debt recovery is an advantage.
- Effective client-facing skills, including clear written and verbal communication and professional courtroom and meeting etiquette.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively with senior counsel and colleagues under time-sensitive conditions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution; enrollment with the Bar Council of India preferred.
- Prior internship or work experience in litigation or corporate practice is beneficial, especially experience before High Courts, Tribunals, or specialized forums.
- Comfort with using legal databases and standard office productivity tools; willingness to learn new systems and processes
