Clergy & Wisemen is a full-service disputes and advisory firm formed in 2021 and grown fast since. Our disputes practice runs pan-India litigation and arbitration for some of the country's most recognisable consumer-tech, food and beverage, financial services, entertainment and manufacturing companies. We handle a high volume of live matters every month across trial courts, consumer forums, tribunals and High Courts, which means our associates get real court exposure and real responsibility early, not two years in.

The role

You will work directly with the founders and senior litigators on civil, consumer and commercial disputes across India. Day to day, you will:

- Draft plaints, written statements, petitions, applications, replies and written submissions
- Research procedural and substantive questions and turn that research into filing-ready work
- Brief for and, as you progress, appear before courts,



tribunals and consumer forums across the country
- Run matters end to end alongside the team, from first notice through execution

This is a hands-on, drafting-heavy, court-facing seat. You will not be parked on document review.

What we are looking for

- 0 to 2 years in litigation, including strong candidates fresh out of law school
- A genuine flair for legal drafting and an eye for detail
- A sound grasp of civil procedure and the substantive law around it
- Willingness to travel and appear across jurisdictions
- Explicit writing, sharp research and the temperament to work in a close-knit team

Qualification

LL.B. from a recognised university and enrolment (or eligibility for enrolment) with a Bar Council.
