Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Associate Consultant – Medical Oncology to join our oncology team. The candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical oncology care, assisting in diagnosis and treatment planning, and ensuring high-quality patient care in coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Evaluate and manage patients with various solid and hematological malignancies.
- Conduct detailed clinical assessments and review investigations, imaging, and pathology reports.
- Develop and implement individualized chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and other systemic treatment plans.
- Monitor patients during treatment and manage treatment-related complications and adverse effects.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and coordinate care with surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, and other specialties.
- Perform regular patient rounds and maintain accurate clinical documentation.




- Counsel patients and their attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, and follow-up care.
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, clinical guidelines, patient safety standards, and infection-control practices.
- Support clinical audits, academic activities, case discussions, and departmental initiatives.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, attendants, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.

Eligibility

- DNB / DrNB in Medical Oncology from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the appropriate Medical Council/NMC.
- Relevant experience in a reputed hospital/oncology centre preferred.
- Good clinical knowledge of systemic cancer therapies and treatment protocols.
- Robust communication, interpersonal, and patient-management skills.
