Role Overview

nDayananda Sagar University invites applications from qualified and research-oriented academicians for the position of Assistant Professor – Law. The candidate will be responsible for teaching, student mentoring, research, academic development and participation in institutional activities.

nKey Responsibilities

n

n
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate Law courses as assigned.
n
- Prepare and deliver lectures, course materials, assessments and examinations.
n
- Mentor students and guide academic projects, seminars and moot court activities.
n
- Conduct and publish quality research in Law and allied legal disciplines.
n
- Publish research papers in reputed peer-reviewed / UGC-CARE or other recognised journals, as applicable.
n
- Participate in conferences, seminars, workshops and faculty development programmes.
n
- Contribute to curriculum development and innovative teaching-learning practices.
n
- Develop research collaborations and contribute to funded research/consultancy activities.
n
- Support academic administration, accreditation and departmental activities.
n
- Participate in institutional committees, events and other responsibilities assigned by the University.
n

nQualification & Eligibility

nEssential:

n

n
- Ph.D. in Law from a recognised University/Institution.
n
- Master’s degree in law (LL.M.)



or relevant Law discipline with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.
n
- Candidates should have the required NET/SLET/SET qualification where applicable, subject to the applicable UGC provisions and exemptions.
n

nPreferred Profile

n

n
- Solid academic record with demonstrated research and publication experience.
n
- Research/publication experience in areas such as:
n
- Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Corporate &

• Commercial Law, Intellectual Property Rights, International Law, Human Rights Law, Cyber Law, Environmental Law, Labour &

• Employment Law, Technology &

• AI Law, Arbitration &

• Dispute Resolution

n
- Experience in guiding student research, dissertations, moot courts, legal aid activities or similar academic initiatives.
n
- Good communication, presentation and student-mentoring skills.
n
- Exposure to interdisciplinary and contemporary legal research will be an advantage.
n
