- Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing day-to-day airline operations to ensure flights are loaded on time and as per airline quality standards.
- Ensure all operational deadlines are met in line with airline requirements.
2. Manpower Planning & Productivity
- Prepare staff rosters and allocate manpower for round-the-clock operations to ensure optimum productivity and smooth departmental functioning.
- Monitor staff productivity and take corrective actions where required.
3. Communication & Coordination
- Circulate and update all relevant information received from airlines, including changes in galley loading plans, and ensure effective implementation.
- Establish effective inter-departmental coordination by liaising with department heads.
4. Training & Performance Management
- Ensure proper training is imparted to current recruits as well as refresher training for existing staff.
- Maintain regular communication with staff, establish rapport, and appraise employees on performance.
5. Equipment & Inventory Control
- Prepare monthly equipment inventories.
- Indent equipment from airlines based on inventory assessments and operational requirements.
6. Quality, Hygiene & Compliance
- Monitor departmental hygiene and HACCP standards to ensure adherence to the highest quality and safety norms.
- Attend airline meal presentations to understand requirements and ensure feedback and changes are communicated to relevant supervisors.
7. Customer & Client Management
- Investigate airline customer complaints within 24 hours and implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
- Conduct regular review meetings with airline officials to measure and improve service standards.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with airline clients.
Required Qualification:
- Post-Graduate/Graduate in Hotel Management / Aviation / Operations Management or equivalent.
- 15+ Year of Experience in airline operations, inflight catering operations, or hospitality services preferred.
- Airline Catering experience preferred.
