- Plan procurement based on production and inventory requirements
- Procurement of feed raw materials such as Maize, Rice Bran DOC, Rice DDGS, Mustard DOC, Mustard Cake, Soya DOC, Rice Bran, Additives and packaging materials as per the specified standard quality parameters.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials to support production requirements.
- Inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize supply disruptions.
- Identify and evaluate alternate sourcing locations, origins, and procurement models.
- Explore procurement from alternate origins/mandis to drive savings and mitigate price volatility.
- Follow up of vehicles with suppliers and make sure materials that are available on time without any shortage.
- Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers,
who can supply raw materials as per company standard quality parameters on consistent basis for better price discovery and price competitiveness
- Negotiate prices, credit terms and delivery schedules with the suppliers
- Monitor commodity market trends and recommend suitable buying strategies.
- Create and process Purchase Orders in SAP, resolve SAP-related issues and ensure all purchase data is correct. Raise and monitor Purchase Orders in SAP and maintain procurement MIS.
- Track and analyze market intelligence, including competitor activities and sourcing trends.
- Drive cost optimization and ensure compliance with procurement processes.
- Work closely with Accounts, Stores, Quality, Production, Planning, Vendors, Transporters, and Management to ensure smooth procurement operations.
