INABATA INDIA is looking for an Assistant Manager Chemical Sourcing & Business Development to join our growing business in India.

This position offers an opportunity to build a career in a global trading workplace, working closely with customers and suppliers across India, Japan, Asia and other international markets.

The role is not limited to procurement. You will be involved in the full business cycle — from identifying new chemical suppliers, understanding customer requirements and evaluating products, to price negotiation, sample coordination, qualification and commercialization.

You will work with overseas suppliers, global customers and INABATA group companies, gaining practical experience in international business, cross-border sourcing and technical-commercial coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new suppliers for specialty chemicals, industrial chemicals and functional materials
- Search and evaluate Indian chemical manufacturers based on customer requirements
- Handle RFQs, cost analysis, quotation comparison and price negotiation
- Review and coordinate technical documents such as TDS, SDS, COA and product specifications
- Coordinate samples, technical evaluations, qualification and commercialization
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers, customers and overseas business partners




- Work with INABATA group companies and global suppliers on new business opportunities
- Support domestic and international customers with sourcing and technical-commercial solutions
- Conduct supplier visits, audits and market research
- Identify new products, suppliers and business opportunities in India
- Travel within India and, when required, overseas for customer and supplier meetings

Ideal Candidate
- 5–8 years of experience in chemicals
- Experience in chemical sourcing, procurement, vendor development or technical sales
- B.Sc / M.Sc Chemistry or B.E / B.Tech Chemical Engineering preferred
- Strong interest in international business and new business development
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel and work with global stakeholders
