Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement EHS strategies, policies, objectives, and safety improvement programs across manufacturing operations.

- Lead EHS team and drive a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, training, and behavioral safety initiatives.

- Conduct HIRA/JSA, risk assessments, permit-to-work, LOTO implementation, and workplace hazard control.

- Ensure compliance with Factory Act, OSHA/OSHWC, Environmental, Fire Safety, and other statutory regulations.

- Manage ISO 45001, ISO 14001, Process Safety Management (PSM), and Responsible Care (RC) compliance.

- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and reduction of LTI and recordable incidents.

- Oversee contractor safety, machine safety, electrical safety, fire safety, work-at-height, and confined space safety programs.

- Ensure effective operation of ETP/STP, waste management, environmental monitoring, and sustainability initiatives.

- Conduct internal/external audits, safety inspections, management reviews, and ensure timely closure of audit observations.

- Develop emergency response plans, conduct mock drills,



and coordinate with regulatory authorities and emergency agencies.

- Monitor EHS KPIs, prepare management dashboards, analyze trends, and drive continual improvement initiatives.

- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, HR, Quality, and Security teams to strengthen EHS performance.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 1520+ years of relevant experience in EHS / Industrial Safety, preferably within chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing.

- Qualification in Industrial Safety / EHS such as PDIS or equivalent.

- Strong experience in Process Safety Management (PSM) and plant-level EHS operations.

- Hands-on knowledge of HIRA, HAZOP, JSA, PTW, LOTO, incident investigation and RCA.

- Experience with ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 and Responsible Care systems.

- Robust understanding of environmental and statutory compliance.

- Proven experience in team leadership and stakeholder management.

- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Candidates with experience in chemical/pharmaceutical manufacturing plants will be preferred.
