Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Art and Craft Teacher who can nurture imagination, creativity, and fine motor skills in our students through engaging art and craft activities. This role is based at our new CBSE school and offers the opportunity to build a vibrant visual arts culture that complements academic learning across grades.

Key Responsibilities

Classroom Teaching & Management

- Plan and deliver age-appropriate art and craft lessons across drawing, painting, sketching, and handicraft techniques
- Introduce students to various art forms, materials, and techniques to build creative and technical skills
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and artwork portfolios
- Ensure the art room is a clean, safe, well-organized, and inspiring creative space at all times
- Manage art supplies, tools, and materials, ensuring their proper use and upkeep

Student Engagement & Holistic Development

- Nurture creativity, self-expression, and confidence through hands-on art and craft activities




- Design and conduct thematic projects, craft workshops, and hands-on making sessions
- Collaborate with subject teachers and school leadership to integrate art and craft into co-curricular activities
- Organize and participate in events such as Annual Day, festivals, exhibitions, and classroom celebrations
- Curate engaging displays of student artwork across the school

Event & Creative Support

- Coordinate art and craft related aspects of school events, festivals, and celebrations, working closely with the event team
- Prepare hand-made gifts, hampers, and mementos for staff, guests, and special school occasions
- Assist in decoration and thematic setup for school events, assemblies, and celebrations
- Support photography and basic photo/video editing for school events, activities, and documentation

Out-of-the-Box Initiatives

- Introduce innovative and contemporary art techniques to keep learning fresh and exciting
- Encourage use of recycled and everyday materials to promote sustainability through craft
- Develop a rewards and recognition system to motivate and encourage young artists
- Build robust parent partnerships through regular communication on the child's creative development

Administrative & Reporting





- Maintain classroom records, student portfolios, and other academic documentation as required
- Coordinate with parents through PTMs, diaries, and regular updates on progress
- Prepare periodic reports on student development and classroom activities
- Be available to take proxy lectures/classes as required in the absence of other teachers
- Suggest and implement improvements to classroom systems and processes

Eligibility & Qualifications

- Diploma in Fine Arts or relevant qualification
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching Art and Craft, in a CBSE or Non-CBSE school
- Comfortable with digital tools and basic computer skills; basic photography/photo-editing skills preferred
- Fluency in English, Gujarati & Hindi

Work Schedule & Details

Days: Monday to Saturday

Location: Tapovan Vidya Vihar, Plot no. 363, nr. Rajwadu Hotel, opp. Lavanya Sanskrutik Hall, Lavanya Society, Vasna, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380051

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
